The County of Cryllor

Detailed Information of notable Guilds in Cryllor

Guilds:

The guilds of the City wield considerable influence and enormous economic importance. The Lady Regent meets with the major Guildmasters at least once every fortnight. The most important guilds are the smiths guilds. The Royal Goldsmiths Guild holds a charter from the King and a separate charter to operate within the County from the Count. The Silversmiths, Gemcutters, and Blacksmiths (and two subguilds, the Weaponsmiths and Armorers) are the other major guilds of the City. The Guilds have County wide charters, but every guild is based out of the City. All of the preceeding guilds, plus the Masons Guild, are undergoing enormous stresses from the influx of skilled dwarven craftsmen.

Guilds and affiliations

The Balcksmiths Guild,
There are 25 Blacksmith businesses, of which 8 are primarily armorers and 6 are primarily weaponsmiths. All fall under the leadership of the guild. Freelance work is not tolerated and considered unlicensed and technically illegal.
Master work weapons are not difficult to come but still demand a premium. Adamantium is rare. Provided a source or raw ore can be provided, there are plenty of quilified craftsmen that are able to forge weapons and armor. Mithril is similar to the rarity of adamantium. Only the smallest of veins of both of these rare metals has been discovered in the Jotens and the Littles.

Royal Goldsmiths, Silversmiths and Gemcutters,
There are 15 goldsmiths, 15 silversmiths and 12 gem cutters within the city of Cryllor. Gems up to class III can easily be purchased. These craftsmen are considered some of the best in the Sheldomar Valley. Their wares are traded and demand high premiums in Gradsul and Niole Dra as well as in Longspear.

The Masons Guild,
The Mason’s Guild has been growing by leaps and bounds since the Grewhawk Wars. Influx of Dwarven refugees and masons have have driven labor prices to unusually low rates. Stone excavation, cutting and building rates are so low that stone buildings are almost as cheap as timber ones to construct.
Although not as financially independent as the Blackmsiths or the Precious metal smiths, the Masons hold a large number of workers and still demand a fair presence in city politics.
