Text Box: Welcome to a new year for the Greater Kansas City Alumnae Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. I hope this is the year you decide to actively participate in all the events we have to offer. There will be additional information about all the meetings elsewhere in this newsletter and on the website.
Because of the cancellation of the Show after our lease was cancelled by the Trade Center, it is more important than ever that you show your pride in our Sorority and keep Gamma Phi Beta strong in the Kansas City area. I encourage you to pay your 2005-2006 dues of $30, with $5 staying in the Kansas City Alumnae Chapter treasury to keep our group running and $25 being sent to International to keep Gamma Phi Beta Sorority a vibrant, progressive Panhellenic member. Many of our active members send something extra; they are called CRESCENT SISTERS and Text Box: without them the Kansas City alumnae chapter would not be able to do as much as it does. Do you know what your dues pay?

Text Box: An award-winning, great website
Did you know Kansas City Gamma Phi Betas serve on house corporation boards at KU, KSU, and MU and often serve as advisors to Sigma chapter? If you want to see Gamma Phi Beta continue to be a shining star, a top sorority, something in which you can be proud to have your daughters, nieces and granddaughters join, pay your dues and join in Gamma Phi Beta Sorority activities! Remember how you loved doing things with other sisters when you were in college? That joy can be found in our alumnae group.
Thanks for the opportunity to serve the Greater Kansas City Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority as your president. If you ever have concerns, questions and/or suggestions, give me a call or send an email to jandmhultgren@yahoo.com.

Show Cancelled in 2005

Regretfully, there will not be an Antiques, Garden and Home Design Show in 2005 due to the construction and expansion at the Overland Park International Trade Center.  Look for news about the 2006 Show in the next newsletter.

My thanks to all of you who volunteered to be a chairman or to serve on a committee.  It does indeed take many members of our alumnae group to make this Show the first class event it has always been.  It is also the “glue that holds us together” and makes us the envy of other Panhellenic groups.  Without a Show we lose our presence in the community.  Let’s rally and make the 2006 Show above and beyond the extraordinary.  Your ideas and suggestions as to a format, content, and features for a successful Show would be greatly appreciated.  Please relay your thoughts to me by email or by phone.
