Bill Murray:

California Governor Jerry Brown and singer Linda Ronstadt flew off to Africa yesterday, traveling openly as a couple. Asked If he thought such conduct could affect the 1980 nominations, Brown said, "No, the Grammy Awards people don't care who she travels with."  Meanwhile, word from Liberia, where the couple landed, is that Brown may be mixing his business with politics and pleasure. Meeting him at the Monrovia airport for what seemed to be some kind of top secret get together were other Democratic governors, including New York governor Hugh Carey, who was accompanied by singer Debby Boone.
