Grace a Mainship 400

DEDICATION OF GRACE

MAY 29, 2004

There are many reasons we chose the name Grace for our boat.  At first, we wanted to find a name that captures the wonderful way the water reflects the late afternoon sun.  However, words like “Sea Diamond” and “Sparkling Sapphire” just didn’t do it justice.   We tossed around many names, but “Grace” seemed to capture everything we were looking for.  First, what better way to describe how the sun dances on the water than with grace?   Then we thought of God’s grace, and how it’s only because of His goodness that we can be here to enjoy His creation through the senses He has given us.  Because of His grace to us, we have the good health to enjoy life.  He’s graced us with a wonderful marriage, with our family, our friends, our church, and with many material things, including this wonderful boat (which, by the way, moves very gracefully on the water!).  Most importantly, God has given us, by his grace, his only Son.  Because of Him, we can stand before God unashamed and spend eternity with Him.

So, we’ve chosen the name Grace for all these reasons, and we dedicate this boat Grace to good times together and with family and friends and to the glory of God.

            We name this boat Grace!!!

We are Bob Davis and Christine Davis.

Grace's home port is Pope's Island Marina in New Bedford, MA on Buzzard's Bay.
Fun places to explore,  good restaurants, and probably the best place in New England for boating!
It's a great home port for visiting Cuttyhunk, Hadley Harbor, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard.
Let us know if you would like more information.

P.S.  Be sure to visit Margaret's Restaurant in Fairhaven.  The lowest cost, finest dining in New England!
Closed Tuesdays.
