Construction 10: Plastering

Here is the small mountain almost completed.

This is the start on the large mountain. the first form from Styrofoam didn't work too well so we decided to redo it with wood lathe & wire.

The wire that we used is standard 12ga copper wire . This was left over from a household wiring project.

We laid fiberglass mesh over the form to hold the plaster.

This is a look inside the mountain.

The completed form, ready for plaster.

In case you are wondering, I'm sprinkling plaster on the mountain to give it a thicker coat, then we sprayed it down with water to get it to set.

Almost done. Just need to cut the tunnel openings and finish one edge.

This is the half of the layout that we have been working on.
