Fighting

These pictures was taken at a local event and show some of the
fighting that we do. These suits of armor are real and the weapons are
made of rattan (The same wood they make the furniture out of). The wooden
swords hit like steel and can hurt (I know from first hand experience).
The fighting that we do is not staged, it is real combat. The fighters use
an honor system to determine who wins the match. We also do fencing, and
archery, as well as many more peaceful activities.

This picture was taken at Pennsic 25 during one of the battles. It
shows just how intense it can get at times.

This is a nice closeup that makes you feel like you're right in the
middle of the battlefield as the two armies clash........

As the battle draws to an end, the last remaining fighters battle it
out.
