These are several friends guarding the gate at the East Kingdom Royal
Encampment.

This picture is of myself and several friends guarding the East
Kingdom Royal encampment at Pennsic 25. I'm the one standing on top of the
left tower. This is perhaps one of the most impressive structures
assembled at Pennsic every year.

This is a friend of mine standing on top of a tower that we
constructed at Pennsic 24. The tower was transported on a trailer and
assembled on site at the gate of our campsite. It stands 8 feet tall and 4
feet square at the base.

This is just one of the many structures that are constructed at
Pennsic. Pennsic is an annual event that occurs every August and lasts for
about a week. The average attendance is in the neighborhood of 10,000
people. This picture was taken at Pennsic 23 (August 1994). The man in the
picture is just one of my many friends in the SCA. I thought this
structure was particularly interesting because of the Iron Maiden hanging
from the tower.
