Indiana was admitted to the Union in 1816, as the
19th state of the United States.
The capital of Indiana is Indianapolis, which has
recently been renovated as one of the world's
beautiful cities, with downtown shopping malls,
the Indianapolis Zoo, and the White River Park in
the downtown area.
Adjacent states include Illinois, Michigan, Ohio
and Kentucky.
