Bloomer Enoch Lane and Minnie Ellen Hickman were married on 29 August 1897 in Orange County, Indiana. This Minnie was born 22 September 1879 in Orange County, Indiana, the 7th child and 2nd daughter of Charles Ambrose Hickman, Sr. and Roxey Emiline (Denton) Hickman. This Minnie was the granddaughter of Issac & Rebecca Collins (Henderson) Hickman, and of Allen & Clara (Foster) Denton. Minnie Ellen (Hickman) Lane lived in Orange County for her entire life, until her death in 1973. Bloomer Enoch Lane and Minnie Ellen (Hickman) Lane are buried at Community Cemetery, Paoli, Orange County, Indiana.

Minnie and Charles were brother and sister, two of the 12 children of Charles Ambrose Hickman, Sr. and Roxey Emiline (Denton) Hickman.

Mary Ellen (Hacker) Rice Hickman was the second of Charles Ambrose Hickman, Jr.'s three wives.

Bloomer Lane is shown with his wife's nephew, Harold Ellsworth Hickman (center, born 28 October 1920), and with Bloomer's wife's brother, Charles Ambrose Hickman, Jr. (right, born 16 March 1877 in Orange County, Indiana).

Minnie and Charles were brother and sister, two of the 12 children of Charles Ambrose Hickman, Sr. and Roxey Emiline (Denton) Hickman.

Mary Ellen (Hacker) Rice Hickman was the second of Charles Ambrose Hickman, Jr.'s three wives.

Rhea Dawn Hickman (who later married Rollie Marvin Brinson) was the youngest child of Charles Ambrose Hickman, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth (Fears) Hickman (who was the first of Charles Ambrose Hickman Jr.'s three wives).







    Bloomer and Minnie E. (Hickman) Lane had 12 children
    (9 daughters and 3 sons):

    • 1 & 2) TWIN GIRLS: Orrie Lane & Lorrie Lane, born in 1898 in Orange County, Indiana. One of these daughter died at 1 year old. The other daughter died at 4 years of age.
    • 3) Hazel Lane. Born in 1900 in Orange County, Indiana. She married a Mr. Jones.
    • 4) Fern Lane. Born in 1902 in Orange County, Indiana. She died in the 1990's in Indiana.
    • 5) Glen Lane. Born in 1905 in Orange County, Indiana. He died in a car accident. His son lives in Lafayette, Indiana.
    • 6) Olive Lane. Born 03 June 1908 in Orange County, Indiana. She married a Mr. Daily. She died in the 1990's in Indiana.
    • 7) Mildred Lane. Born 04 September 1911 in Orange County, Indiana. She married a Mr. Merrick. She died of cancer on 27 May 1960.
    • 8) Charles K. Lane. Born 04 May 1915 in Orange County, Indiana. He married Mary Barnett, sister of his sister's husband. Charles died during the 1990's.
    • 9) Mary Lane. Born 26 January 1917 in Orange County, Indiana. She married Frank Barnett, the brother of her brother's wife.
    • 10) Jessie Lane. Born 25 September 1918 in Orange County, Indiana. She married Ray Fisher. Ray and Jessie had two daughers: Ann and Teri. She died 25 December 1996 in Scottsburg, Indiana. Jessie is buried at Community Cemetery, Paoli, Orange County, Indiana.
    • 11) Ruth Lane. Born 07 April 1921 in Orange County, Indiana. She married Ken Barrett. They reside in Salem, Indiana.
    • 12) Robert M. Lane. Born 22 November 1922 in Orange County, Indiana. Died on 25 March 1945 during his military service in World War II. Buried at Community Cemetery in Orange County, Indiana.
