...and me?

Dain Bramage is one of my favorite bands. Period.

A long time ago my high school pal Larry Hinkle told me about an old friend of his' band. He gave me a tape of this band called DAIN BRAMAGE- no label, no song titles - just a rough dupe of a demo tape. I loved it! A short time later the band released their only record, "I Scream Not Coming Down" on the Fartblossom label out of California. I bought the album immediately and it has become one of the few vinyl albums I still listen to today. Dain Bramage was a very short-lived band and I never got to see them play live (I almost saw them play once at the St. Alban's School but that's another story). I did, however, hear an interview with the band (just after the album came out) on local radio station WHFS - I think the DJ was "Happily married" Meg. I also saw the final show for the bands Lunch Meat and Mission Impossible (which some of Dain Bramage played in, although I didn't know at the time!) at Ft. Reno park in Washington, DC. in the summer of 1985 - Does that count?
