Dawn is hearing impaired and as her disability became worse over the years, she decided to apply for a CCI Hearing Dog. "I didn't know anything about having a hearing dog before I was matched with Danelle at CCI's team training class. It took a lot of time and patience to learn what tasks Danelle could perform for me and how to go about teaching her those tasks. Now she will alert me when the kitchen timer is going off (no more burned food!), or someone at the door (no more missed delivery people or visitors), or my name being called by someone. I love it when people stop me to ask questions about Danelle. It lessens my social isolation and Danelle helps to break down those barriers. I feel blessed to have Danelle and appreciate every bit of love and training that her puppy raisers, Vicki and Frank Munoz, invested in her."
