Puppy Raisers

Puppy Raising provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to help create a meaningful change in someone's life. CCI puppies are reared in the puppy raiser's home from 8 weeks of age until they are 13 to 18 months old. Puppies need lots of training and attention during this critical stage to develop into a Canine Companion. Every rewarding hour spent training and playing with the puppy lays the foundation for a stable, dependable, trustworthy companion for a person with a disability. By opening their hearts and homes, puppy raisers create the miracle called Canine Companions for Independence. For more information on puppy raising and/or how you can become a puppy raiser, visit the CCI National Web Site Button to go to CCI Web Site. Puppy Raiser applications are available on this website, just press the Application button.
Gold Rush Champion Puppy Raisers are especially proud of their pups. Here are just a few! Click on the photo to view in a larger size.
