Puppy Raisers |
|||
Puppy Raising provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to help create a meaningful change in someone's life. CCI puppies are reared in the puppy raiser's home from 8 weeks of age until they are 13 to 18 months old. Puppies need lots of training and attention during this critical stage to develop into a Canine Companion. Every rewarding hour spent training and playing with the puppy lays the foundation for a stable, dependable, trustworthy companion for a person with a disability. By opening their hearts and homes, puppy raisers create the miracle called Canine Companions for Independence. For more information on puppy raising and/or how you can become a puppy raiser, visit the CCI National Web Site |
