At our first reenactment of the year on the Carthage-Knightstown-Shirley Railroad the Greenfield Daily Reporter sent a photographer to cover the train robbery. The Daily Reporter has kindly permitted us the use of some of the photos here on our web site. This page has pictures has pictures from the shootout between the marshals and the outlaws robbing the train. Page 1 has pictures of some of our posse members during the train ride.

Marshals, Undertaker (left) and R. B. (right), "help" their prisoner, Fall Creek Sam, board the train.

Marshall Wilbur Rexroat questions an "innocent" passenger, Angus Younger, during the layover in Carthage.

Will Henry and J. W. Ford empty the train's strong box.

The Marshals leave the train to do battle with the robbers.

Lawmen, R. B. and Irish Dave, open fire.

Marshals Wilbur Rexroat and Cross Hatfield battle robbers to their front, while outlaw Turtle Creek is about to fall victim to Marshall Doc Wolf.

The lawmen are hard pressed from several directions.

Under a cloud of gunsmoke peace is finally restored.
