Flight Log Version 1.3

Flight Log Form

Information about each flight is entered and viewed on the Flight Log form. Use the arrow buttons at the bottom of the form to page through the entries. To make a flight entry, first pick the New button which will clear the form, then fill in the date, time, airtime, and select a glider and a site. Other information on the form such as flight conditions, altitude info, and remarks can also be entered but is not required.

Flight numbers are automatically assigned based on the date and time of the flight and on the number of previous flights entered on the Summary Form. Flight numbers for hang glider and paraglider flights are assigned independently.

Airtime can be entered in hours and minutes or in minutes but is always displayed in hours and minutes. For example, if you enter the airtime as 82 the airtime will be displayed as 1:22.

Wind direction is entered by selecting the appropriate zones on the wind direction circle. Maximum lift and sink rates are shown graphically on the vario display.

Cross-Country flight details such as flight type and GPS coordinates can be entered on the Cross-Country Flight Details form.

There is an option on the flight log form for Non-Flying entries. Non-flying entries are used to document non-flying events such as ground school classes, meetings, clinics, etc. There is also an option to highlight an entry. You can use this to denote special flights. Highlighted entries will have a yellow background on the form and will print with a bold font.
