Thanks to everyone who purchased
tickets for the raffle to benefit greyhounds with special
needs. Jerry Murray will be happy to know (and will likely
run around doing a happy dance with his jolly ball) when
he finds out we sold more than 500 tickets and raised over
$850 with the raffle.
The drawing took place 5/17 at the 6th Annual GAFNE Picnic
in Wilmington, Delware. When we said "need not be present
to win" we meant it! All four pixies (and soon-to-be
frequent flyer members) are packing their suitcases for
their new homes.
Shy Baby is relocating to the
Lone Star state of Texas to her forever home with
Lin Grado
Miss Broken Leg will return to
Florida to heal in her new home with Kelly Chicos
Miss Broodie will spend her
golden years in New Hampshire with Jordan
Graustark
and last but certainly not least...
Mr. Jerry Murray Schwartz Varnberg
is headed to Virginia to live with none other than
Winslow's Dad, Craig de Yong. Crocheted
Jerry Murray will now live with Winslow AND his crocheted
likeness!
The winners can expect to receive their Special Pixie
Hounds within a week by Priority Mail.
Thanks to this special raffle and everyone who
participated, Greyhound Adoptions of Florida will be able
to say "YES" to the next broken-leg greyhound who needs
care and time to heal at Grey Haven.
