These pages are pretty much devoted to Fly Fishing and related subjects, enjoy your visit and please pass along any comments and suggestions.
Recently retired from my job as a counselor in the Career Services office at the University of New Hampshire, I will now have more time to fish....!! My favorite, and most convenient rivers to get to in New Hampshire are the Ellis, Swift, and the Saco, near North Conway, and the Androscoggin and the Connecticut farther in the North Country. Having lived for many years in Vermont, my favorite river in New England has always been the Battenkill. I hope it will come back to it's former condition of a first rate wild trout stream, now that efforts are being made to determine and remedy the causes of it's decline.
A fly fisherman since the age of eight, (now 74) and a fly tyer just about as long, I like to share this interest with others. You will find favorite fly patterns, leader formulas, addresses of materials and equipment suppliers, links to other fly fishing related WWW sites, and my collection of Fly Fishing poetry and quotations. You will also find here the links to The American Museum of Fly Fishing, Trout Unlimited, the Federation of Fly Fishers, and the Atlantic Salmon Federation, four organizations whose aims and objectives I support. You also might want to check out the The Flyfish@ List's pages. I also support catch and release fishing, for to quote the late Lee Wulff, "a trout is too valuable to be caught only once." For those interested here is a link to a wonderful set of pages on the History of Fly Fishing.
You might also like to visit Dave Lewis' Performance Fly Rods web pages..... Dave is a good friend, a superb rod-builder, an excellent photographer and a gentleman. Another page well worth a visit is Pete Mocho's PTM Rod Design... Pete builds beautiful and uniquely decorated fly rods.
