October 23, 2003....This is the first of hopefully many Baby Blogs I do. There is so much going on right now, that it seems like I could talk endlessly. This name thing is fun. Going through all kinds of names to name the baby, and coming up with some really crazy ones. How about LMNO. Not Ulmno, L-M-N-O. Say it quick like in the song. Crazy huh? Then we wondered how other kids could tease our kid. LMNO pees!!! Wouldn't be fun. Another name we liked is Lucky. Sandra likes Lucky Lee, but I'm not to big on that. But Lucky is a very cool name, and I don't see any real reason why we couldn't use it. Sign the guestbook and tell me what you think about that one. Another "thing" we have about names is, that we don't like recycling names. Using first names that friends or family have named their kids. There is a name I really like, and Sandra even has it on a list of names she made when she was in High School and thinking about what she would name her kids. But a good friend has a son with that name, so we don't want to steal it. There can be only one Tanner. For right now, when we talk about the baby, we call it Clover. That was our first name, and we really like it. We wouldn't really name the baby that after it is born, but for now, it works well.

October 28, 2003....I don't understand how people can not want to know the sex of their baby. I know, "We want it to be a surprise!". "To find out when the baby is born!" If you want to do it the old school way, go for it. But for Sandra and I, we're going to kick it new school. We both want to know what Clover is going to be before he/she is born. We already are trying to buy things, and win things, and it's difficult if you don't know what the baby is going to be. We went to a garage sale given by our friends Douglas and Lori and they had mostly baby boy stuf, and some girl stuff. We found a great outfit for a boy and another one for a girl. We had to buy them both. If we end up having a boy, the girl outfit is going to go to Angie's (My Cousin) new baby Shantay Dawn. And for the record, the "Theme" of clovers room is going to be: Lovable Furry Old Grover. We are going to get all we can that has Grover from Sesame Street on it. We already have a Rock and Roll Grover, some books, including my (Randy's) all time favorite "The Monster at the end of this book". We also found 2 hooded fleece sweatshirts with Grover on them. There are going to be many people on EBay with ours and Grandma and Grandpa Grovers money.

November 18, 2003....Man I'll tell you, if there is one thing I learned so far, it's... Women Love Babies. I talk about Clover at work and all the women are just so thrilled. And most of them have had their own. It's like they have never seen a baby before, or nobody they know has had one. They just get so excited. Their faces light up and they get huge smiles and want to know all about how Sandra is doing. When I brought the ultrasound picture in, some of them went nuts. Of course they wouldn't have gone nuts if I wasn't carrying it around and showing it to everyone I see and saying: "Have you seen Clover's first picture?!?!" And when I show they guys at work Clover's first picture, I get... "Cool".
