Whats happening with baby this week:
December 11th - December 17th

Measuring in at seven centimetres crown to rump or nine centimetres in total length, your baby-to-be will have doubled in weight from last week to between one and one-and-one-half ounces. Your baby will spend the rest of the pregnancy concentrating on growing and becoming strong enough to live outside the uterus. His or her intestines have now moved from outside the body to inside the abdomen. Vocal cords are developing. Your foetus has also developed many reflexes and will squirm around if your abdomen is prodded.

Whats happening with mommy this week:

What a week it has been for us. It has been busy beyond busy! The only reason I have time to write this now is I'm sneaking it in while I eat my breakfast. Last week I had the flu. This was no fun because there isn't anything I can take to relieve the symptoms. I had a bout of morning sickness. Of course it happened right after I brushed my teeth. What a funny trick that gets played on us pregnant women.
I've been waiting so patiently to feel the baby move. The only thing that's been moving however is the gasses in my stomach! I find myself rubbing my belly now without even realizing it. People will ask me if the baby is moving or something, I'll look down and see myself rubbing my belly. I'm reading a book that Randy's cousin Jen gave me called girlfriends guide to pregnancy. This is the funniest damn book I have read so far. It's the things that your “girlfriends” will tell you that the Dr. wont. I seem to relate to a lot of the stories in there. From gas to constipation to mood swings; I have it all! I still sit and think sometimes and am just amazed that I AM pregnant. It's just amazing. I never really thought I would have kids, and boom, here we go. This will just be the most amazing thing ever.
As far as medically everything seems to be fine. My blood sugar levels are normal every time I test. We go to see a new doctor on Jan 14th. It's not like we didn't like the other Dr. that we saw, it's just that he is impossible to get an appointment to get in to see. Hopefully we will get to schedule the ultrasound for soon after that so we can find out if we are having a “Chloe” or a “Cameron”. OK, well, I'm off to do the million and a half things I need to do today. I'm almost happy that I go back to work tomorrow, It's almost like a little rest for me from the weekend!
