Whats happening with baby this week:
December 25th - December 31st

The baby's skin is very thin, and blood vessels can be seen underneath. The skin is covered with a fine, fuzzy hair called lanugo, which will not fall out until your baby nears full-term. The heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood per day. Growing fast, your baby weighs 1.5oz and measures ten centimetres crown to rump or 12.5cm head to toe. This week marks a period of rapid growth, so get your rest

Whats happening with mommy this week:

Another little scare this week. We have been having some bad weather, snow and ice. On my way to the bus stop on Dec 30th I slipped on the snow and fell on my bottom. On the bus ride to work I started getting little dull cramps that I thought was just gas. About an hour into my shift at work I started getting sharp pains on my left side of my stomach. I went up to see the nurse at work and she listened to my stomach and heard movement but the pain wasn't stopping. They suggested that I go in and see my Doctor. They called Randy to come pick me up, which I think put him in a little panic. He told me later he ran a red light and was doing 60 MPH. This is not like him AT ALL. We went to the Doctor and he did a little ultrasound and saw that the baby was just fine. Turns out I strained a ligament in my stomach. Nothing I could do about the pain, I just had to wait it out. As long as the baby is O.K. I can handle the pain! It didn't last long, just a few days and it wasn't too bad. I just laid on the couch with a hot pad. Didn't make for a very exciting new years eve though, but Randy had to work at 5AM on New years day anyway. Next year we will do it up good! Other than this Everything is going great. But, boy, what a scare we had.
