Whats happening with baby this week:
March 4th 2004 - March 10th

The structures of the spine - 33 rings, 150 joints and 1000 ligaments - begin to form. The blood vessels of the lungs are developing and the nostrils begin to open. Busy week! Your baby weighs one pound, nine ounces, and measures 22cm crown to rump, or 11 1/2 inches. Your baby's ears work well now, and he or she may even blink in reaction to a loud noise. The brain is growing rapidly. If you could look inside your uterus, you'd see a well-proportioned head and body. The baby's first meconium stool has been formed in the large intestine and will be excreted in the days following the birth. Some babies will have a movement in the amniotic fluid before the birth.

Whats happening with mommy this week:

This week we found out our neighbors across the street are pregnant. That is so much fun, I wish they were planning to stay, but they want to sell the house and move to a big piece of land. We started painting the baby room. We have chosen a purple and green color. It fits right in with our pond theme. I'm still real tired and working hard, and getting bigger! I can't wait to finally finish with the baby room and spend a couple months relaxing with the house being done. Although daddy is doing most of the work!
