Whats happening with baby this week:
March 18th 2004 - March 24th

Your baby weighs just about two pounds now. The length of his or her body is 12 1/2 inches or two centimetres crown to rump. If someone puts their ear to your belly, your baby's heartbeat will probably be distinguishable. You may notice in the weeks to come that your baby will begin to have regular, predictable patterns of movement and sleep. During this week, the brain continues its rapid growth, and the lungs continue to grow. Eyelids begin to open, and the retinas begin to form. The baby will grow over 1/2 inch this week

Whats happening with mommy this week:

They tell me at work that I'm “nesting.” Randy and I have been cleaning out the house like fiends. Sunday he worked on the garage and I've been working on the back room. Then we are going to start putting the baby room together. We have a huge pile for the dump and a huge pile for charity. It's exhausting but I feel this need to get it done. The last month of pregnancy I just want to know that we are ready for our little bundle of joy. When people ask me if I'm ready to just have the baby, I'd have to say at this point no, I'm not quite ready. I need more order in the house to be ready. Even mentally I'm not sure I'm quite ready. It can be a little overwhelming to think of how our lives are going to change. I'm a little scared about the logistics but also overwhelmed at how joyous having little Clover in my arms is going to be. And I can't wait to see the look on Randy's face when he holds little Clover for the first time.
