Whats happening with baby this week:
March 25th 2004 - March 31st

Our little miracle is growing and developing at an astonishing rate! Eyebrows and eyelashes are now present, and the hair on the head is growing. The eyelids open, and the eyes are completely formed. The body is getting plumper and rounder weighs about 2 pounds four ounces and is composed of around 2 to 3% body fat. The baby already appears a lot like he or she will look at birth. The skin, though, is quite wrinkled due to constant immersion in amniotic fluid. Muscle tone is gradually improving. The lungs are capable of breathing air but if the baby is born now, it would struggle to properly breathe. Be sure to talk to your baby a lot because s/he can recognize your voice now!

Whats happening with mommy this week:

When I came home on Friday I was feeling real sore. Randy went off to work and I came in on the computer and called his parents, after about an hour conversation, they decided to come over and I was going to help them with their taxes. When they got here I got up from the computer chair and had this shooting pain that wouldn't allow me to walk. I kind of just walked through the pain, got them into the house and came back to the computer where I spent the next hour, hour and a half doing their taxes. I felt fine as I was just sitting here. But when I got up again to walk, the pain was back. Randy came home from work and we decided to go out to eat. I was just having a heck of a time trying to walk. It felt like I had fully dilated or something. I rested the rest of the weekend (or as much as I can make myself rest) and by the Doctor visit at the end of the week I felt much better. Of course when you go to the doctor, everything starts feeling fine. He offered not a lot of concern. He checked to make sure I hadn't dilated and everything seemed to be fine. He offered his stock answer of use a heating pad and rest. Uggggg HMO!!!
