Whats happening with baby this week:
April 1st 2004 - April 7th

Your baby now weighs two pounds, nine ounces and is 13 1/2 inches long. The crown-to-rump measurement, which may be slightly more accurate than length estimates, is about 26cm. Your baby's lungs have now developed to the point where he or she could breathe air well. The baby's head is in proportion to the rest of the body. Fat continues to accumulate under the skin. The brain can control primitive breathing and body temperature control, and the eyes can move in the sockets. The baby is becoming sensitive to light, sound, taste and smell. Now, I wonder how experts know a baby can smell in utero?

Whats happening with mommy this week:

This week we had our hospital tour of the labor and delivery rooms. The rooms seem very nice and comfy. I was hoping to see a pregnant women in labor, but I guess it was a slow night. Not one person in there. They asked if any of us wanted to go into labor, now would be a good time, they wanted something to do. I'm really feeling fine. I have just a little hard time walking but once I get going I work out all the cramps. I don't seem to have any stomach muscles anymore; I'm not sure what happened to them? I've just about lost sight of my feet; I hope they are doing well! hehehe
