Whats happening with baby this week:
April 22nd 2004 - April 28th

It may be hard to imagine, but your baby is now 28cm crown to rump or 15 1/4 inches long, and weighs three pounds, 12oz. In the past few months, the rapid weight gain has been due to an increase of fat stores and muscle. Your baby can move his or her head to the side, but now that baby is taking up much of the available space, his or her movement will slowly decrease. The toenails are completely formed and the hair on the head continues to grow.

Whats happening with mommy this week:

Where is the time going? The baby room is just about finished. We have the crib now. I just love sitting in there in the rocking and looking around and wondering what it will be like when our baby is laying in the crib sleeping, or sitting in the chair nursing, or reading to our baby. The baby just moves around so much still. Everything I read tells me that I shouldn't be feeling the baby as much anymore, but I feel her more than ever. I love to just sit and stare at my stomach and watch it move. I'm kind of getting used to her moving in there. My mom said that you carry them around with you on the inside for nine months then you carry them around on you for the next 2 years!
Well, exciting news. Robert Lee Rogers the Third has arrived. This week has been exciting. Jennifer went into labor. I talked to her a bit about it. They had sent her home when her labor wasn't making her dilate due to little Robert being breech. It was interesting to hear first hand what I have to look forward to. I'm not so much worried about the pain right now. I'm kind of excited about the experience. I'm sure when I look back I'll think, what the hell was I thinking?? Excited about going into labor??
