Tools

  1. FILE183.PDS: my contribution to the CBT Tape.
  2. FILE183.LOAD: a load-library that contains ready-to-use versions of some of the programs supplied in FILE183.
  3. P390IPL: MVS tools for the P/390 (about 40KB, contains 9 members).

These files are unloaded PDSs in TRANSMIT OUTDA() format. To reload a PDS from a XMIT.ZIP file, proceed as follows:

  1. Freeware filename.XMIT.ZIP to your workstation
  2. UNZIP it with UNZIP, PKUNZIP, WinZIP or similar
  3. Upload filename.XMIT to MVS in binary with RECFM(FB) and LRECL(80)
  4. Issue the RECEIVE INDA(filename.XMIT) command under TSO
If you experience problems when extracting files with long names on your DOS system, download the InfoZIP UNZIP command for DOS.
