9th
and 10th Grade Texts Include:
Catholic Youth Bible
The Catholic Youth Bible is
hands-down the best teen Bible anywhere. In just over five years, more than 750,000
copies of this popular youth Bible have been sold, and teens have told us why: it's more
in-depth, it touches on topics deeply important to young people, and it speaks to teens in
language they can understand.
- PRAY IT! Use the Bible for personal prayer.
- STUDY IT! Understand and make sense of what the
Bible says.
- LIVE IT! Apply the Bible to real-life situations.
- introductions to the major sections of the Bible
and all the books of the Bible
- biblical connections to many different cultures,
illustrating the universality of the Catholic Church
- insights into how the Church has interpreted
certain scripture passages throughout history
- 4 special indexes, 9 color maps, a 4-page color
timeline, and 4 pages of full-color biblical art and photos
There's no other Bible like this Bible! This year all students will
be supplied a copy of the Catholic Youth Bible which they will use in both 9th and
10th grade. The bible will be used extensively each class and needs to be brought to
each class session!
The Spirit Sets Us
FreeSacramental Catechesis and Confirmation Preparation
Grade 10
Preparation for a sacrament enables a young person not only to celebrate that
sacrament, but to live it in their daily lives as well. The Spirit Sets Us
Free reinforces the relationship between sacrament and life so that each
candidate develops a lived familiarity with the Holy Spirit.
The preparation period for
Confirmation is intended to provide the candidates, their sponsors and family, and indeed
the entire parish, with a profound experience of the Gift of the Spirit who dwells within
them and within the Church.
The Spirit Sets Us Free presents
a preparation program that is rich, complete and energizing.
