Cimarron U.S. Cavalry .45 Colt

SOLD - 5/2009

I always liked my Beretta Stampede, but I found myself yearning for a .45 with a longer barrel.

I thought about buying another Stampede with the 7 1/2" barrel, chambered in .357 magnum, but they discontinued it.

My reasoning was, that I certainly didn't need another .45 Colt pistol,

and I didn't want to sell my Stampede so why not get one in .357?

Eventually I eschewed that line of reasoning and put the whole quandary on the back burner.

Kids needed food, wife needed a new kitchen. I didn't need a second SAA clone.

Then I found this one at the local Gunshow.

It didn't resolve any of the above mentioned quandary's, but it was pristine and the price was irresistible.

I kept it for a couple years, shot it a little (too pretty) and found I couldn't hit beans with it. It several inches high. With a fixed sight revolver, that can't easily be fixed. I sold it and bought my Ruger Vaquero, and have been dinging targets ever since.
