This is a website dedicated to the archival of concerts held at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY from the beginning in 1970 until mid 1971. Howard Stein was the promoter of these concerts and in the summer of 1971 he began using Gaelic Park at 240th St. & Broadway in the Bronx for outdoor shows and booked his indoor shows at The Ballroom at the Manhattan Center at 34th & 8th. Beginning in October 1971 he began booking his shows at the Academy of Music at 14th St. & 3rd Ave. Over time we hope this archival collection will include setlists, photos, ticket stubs, posters, performance reviews, number of shows and cancellations, etc. Although it will be a significant challenge we hope to achieve the success of DeadBase, Brucebase (Springsteen), ABBBase as examples of the standards of concert tour archival databases. We will only achieve this with your help.
The shows included in this archive have been independently confirmed by The Tour Archive. If a show was taken from some other source than independent confirmation it is noted.
