Laurie's father, August William Startz, ran a motorcycle and bicycle shop at what is now Galvin's Real Estate office at 78 South Street. This is her mother,Bertha, holding her on her father's motorcycle seat outside of Bertha's Beauty Shop door in 1928, the year we were born.
