• 2:00 pm - Walking Enthusiasts meet at the Holmdel Park farmhouse. (See Note 3)

• Noon - Regular Meeting, moved from November 3rd. Speaker: Betty Rod from the Census Bureau. Computer Class and Book Club postponed to November 12th.

Thu, Nov 12

• 9 am - 2 pm - Drop-in Day at the Senior Center. Computer Class at 10 am, Book Club meets at 11 am. (See Note 2)

Tue, Nov 17

• Noon - Regular Meeting. Henry Nicholson from the Dept. of Transportation discusses Transportation Available to Seniors.

Wed, Nov 18

• 11:15 am to 1:15 pm - Cooking Class at the Senior Center. $7 payable in advance to the Recreation Office.

Thu, Nov 19

• Noon - Turkey Dinner at the Buttonwood Manor. One hour open bar. $18 pp, Toni Brescia collects. Cut-off date Nov. 12th. Members only. Jackets and ties required. (No Computer Class.)

Overnight Trip (See Rosemarie Mikson):

Las Vegas - Canyon Country - Showtime. June 20 - 25 , 2010. Leave from Newark Liberty for Las Vegas, stay at the Golden Nugget Casino. Tour Las Vegas. See Zion National Park, stay at the Shilo Inn in Kanab. Visit the north rim of the Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon. Move to the Wingate Inn in St. George; see the Mormon Temple there. Meals and shows included. Back to Las Vegas for return trip to Newark. $1407 pp double, $1377 pp triple, $1624 pp single. Travel insurance included. $150 pp deposit. Balance due by April 23, 2010.

Note 1: Unless otherwise indicated, all regular meetings are at the Senior/Community Center, beginning at 12 noon, on the first and third Tuesdays of every month. The nurse is available during the first meeting of every month, unless otherwise noted.

Note 2: Every Thursday is Drop-in Day from 9 am to 2 pm. Normally, Bruce McLeod’s Computer Class takes place at 10 am on the first and third Thursdays of the month, and Lillian Gennusa’s Book Club meets at 11 am on the first Thursday of every month.

Note 3: Tony Saliba’s Walking Enthusiasts meet at 2 pm every Wednesday at the Holmdel Park farm, weather permitting.
