2000 - DisneyWorld

The Story

We arrived on Tuesday night and it was 25 degrees. We froze at the Animal Kingdom our
first day here (they even ran out of gloves at the stores). We videoed the first couple of
days so I'll pick it up with pictures on Day 3. On Day 2 we went to MGM (goal is to ride
Tower Of Terror 4 times this week). It warmed up, a little, and we finished off the night
with Fantasmic. Day 3 we spent inside of DisneyQuest (Virtual Reality) and it took an hour
per floor (5 of them). Aladdin made me feel woosy and I liked Alien Invader and Pirates the
best. We then spent a good 1.5 hours in this HUGE Virgin Record store and did our part for
the local economy. Off to Epcot for dinner in Germany and watching the parade while
waiting to get in. Or should I say, more shopping while waiting to get in. Day 4 was a
rest day at the Grand Floridian (and this is where I felt my cold come on). We all got
new "do's" (Jill / Hank / Marcia) as well as some R&R (checking out the final product). We saw
Cirque De Sole that night and then I crashed for I had a full blown head cold.

Still clogged with a cold, we attended a Gospel Brunch and then attacked EPCOT (which
was not very crowded on this Dec 24th). The CandleLight Concert was fantastic, especially
with a 400 voice choir. By the end of the day - we were pooped! We then attacked the Magic
Kingdom on Christmas Day (Big Mistake). Kids, people and lines everywhere! We did manage
Alien Encounter, Haunted Mansion and watched people. But after those two rides, we were done.
We saw the parade with Snow White, Cinderella, Beauty & Beast and of course Captain Hook
(brought back childhood memories) and went back to MGM which ended up being alot more reasonable.
(Here are some more Magic Kingdom pictures - Hank & Marcia, Jill & Fiona, Hank/Jill/Fiona)
Stayed at MGM the rest of the day (so that I could see the Osborne Festival Of Lights) and
then the girls went back to the hotel to order room service while Marcia & I spent our final
night having a lovely dinner - just the two of us.

We packed up and then spent a half day at Epcot before catching the loooooong flight home.
The kitties were happy to see us and we were all glad to be back home so we could have game
night on the REAL New Millineum.
