Harp and Thistle
Imports opened in March of 1999 to the sound of bagpipes
and fiddles. The opening day celebration was a memorable
event on East Seiberling Street in Peoria Heights,
Illinois. Ann O’Neill and Betty Rohman named their
business for the national symbols of Ireland and
Scotland. Expansion happened quickly and the shop moved
to 4605 N. Prospect Road in Peoria Heights, the present
location. Over the past seven years, Harp & Thistle has
grown into an anchor shop in this quaint shopping
district. In 2003, Ann O’Neill moved to Boston, and
Betty Rohman became sole proprietor.
Harp & Thistle is a member of the North American Celtic Buyers
Association. Annual buying trips are made to Ireland and
Scotland to find new and unique merchandise. Please stop
in for a cup of tea, Our original concept of providing a
great place to browse still holds true today. Unique
merchandise and Irish hospitality make shopping at Harp
& Thistle both fun and memorable.
