Single barrel port side.50 cal machine gun, just forward of smoke
stacks on the boat. Port is left for you land lubbers.
.50 caliber shell w/OUT head is 4 inches long!
Inflating the targets, each is about 20 feet in diameter
The targets were filled with air. Needed something to weigh them down
to keep them on top of the water. We didn't have any use for the back
doors for our racks, so we offered them up as weights!

The crew (Troy Frankenberger foreground) prepares to deploy the targets
off the stern of the boat.

And away...

For the gun for the test, the target was approximately 100 yards from
the boat.
Another shot of the port side gun.
If you look closely, you can see a splash in the water from a bullet.

Ok, now the starboard gun...
Up close & personal. For the starboard gun testing, I got to stand
about 3 feet behind the gun during testing. Woo hoo! Was this cool!!!
