These book is designed for children. It contain a verse, thought and a prayer for each day. There are four character qualities covered each week. The plan is to spend a week on each character quality six months in the book. Some do them together as a family devotion and others give a book to each child for their own prayer time. Whatever the character quality is for the week, try to tell Bible stories or give examples out of your life to help emphasize that character quality. Another thought is to memorize some of the verses each week as a family.
Month 1 covers Wisdom, Truthfulness, Boldness and Punctuality.
Month 2 covers Obedience, Humility, Forgiveness and Self-control.
Month 3 covers Love, Contentment, Responsibility, and Reverence.
Month 4 covers Faith, Generosity, Deference, and Loyalty.
Month 5 covers Joyfulness, Hospitality, Sincerity, and Initiative.
Month 6 covers Virtue, Gratefulness, Diligence, and Cautiousness.

Thought
The Lord tells us the same thing twice in His word because it is so important. God will always resist us if we are proud and think we are better than others. He gives us grace (power to succeed) if we walk humbly with Him.
Prayer
Father, correct me quickly when I think proud thoughts, say proud words or do proud actions. I never want you to have to resist me. Cause me to be humble so You can always give me lots of grace. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
