PRAYING DOWN THE PATH OF YOUR CHILD'S LIFE
PRAYERS FROM PROVERBS AND PSALMS
This book is in use by parents, grandparents across the country. It is often purchased as a gift for friends or for baby shower gifts. It is an excellent tool to get us out of the rut of praying the same things over and over for our children. It has been given out at baby dedications to new parents. Moms -in-touch groups are using it as they pray for their children and their schools. Many home school parents use the prayers from this book regularly as they pray for and teach their own children day by day. If you have children, you should at least download this book.
Some comments about the book and some sample prayers:
This book takes the verses in Proverbs and some of the Psalms and rewrites them into prayers to use in praying for our children. Two goals of every Christian parent are: 1) to train our children in the way they should go and 2) to leave them a godly Christian heritage. Our prayers for our children allow God to accomplish His purpose in and through their lives. We can pray not only for current issues but also pray down through their lives for all the decisions they will be making in the future. We can pray now and have answers on "lay-a-way" for when they need them. In this way we can leave an inheritance much more valuable and lasting than money and property. By the time you pray through these prayers from Proverbs, you will have covered virtually all areas of your child's life.
