Installation instructions

If you download with Safari, Hebcal will install itself. Otherwise, uncompress the .zip file and double click the widget file to install.

On the reverse side of the widget, enter your local Zip code and preferrerd Havdalah time, the number of minutes after sundown. There are different customs for when to observe Havdalah, the end of Shabbat or Holiday. Depending on location, this is typically between 43 to 72 minutes after sundown. Enter this time in the Havdalah field. Check with your rabbi or synagogue, or enter 43 minutes.
