Our recent trip to Caliente Caribe, in the Dominican Republic.
January 2008
Here is Sue, smiling and happy in the Dominican Republic.

Here is Sue again, relaxing at our Ocean View Villa - room #406.

This was Sue's view from the Ocean View Villa - to the left and out of the picture are a heated swimming pool, a volleyball swimming pool, and an excellent hot tub that faces the ocean.

This was Sue's view to the left - the Beach Bar. Great food! it is the place for lunch, and on Friday nights dinner is served here buffet style. It was a terrific meal - in FACT all meals were awesome!

This was the view looking away from the ocean. A road exists for the golf carts and staff vehicles to access the beach area without having to climb the 58 steps to the main lobby/restaurant area.

This is the beach area, which would be beyond the beach bar. Snorkeling/swimming/scuba activities start here. You are also welcome to place lounge chairs here and have a perfect unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean. The water that washes the south side of the Dominican Republic is considered the Caribbean Sea.

Walking along the ocean side of the resort, you will see some real Ocean action! At the top of this picture you can see some of the Seacliff rooms which offer awesome views of the resort as it sprawls out below.

This is a view from atop one of the Seacliff buildings. A stairway makes for easy access, and you are invited and encouraged to take a look.

This is another view from atop the Seacliff rooms, which shows the building which houses the main entrance/lobby, the main dining room, the upper bar, the upper pool, disco, exercise facilities and much more.

This was one of our little friends who hung out on the back porch of our room.

We highly suggest taking a tour with these folks at Brianda. They showed us a great time.

Brianda took us to the local waterfall where the kids jump from the top, and cool off at the bottom. This was really nice.

Brianda also took us to this local beach, for a look-see.

Brianda gave us some great refreshments and a show here.

This is the inside of the building, we were given a wonderful show by local young men and women who danced and the 3 man music section was neat.
Any time I can get a picture of Sue that looks this terrific - without professionals or posing, you have to know she was having a terrific time.
Visit Caliente Caribe in the Dominican Republic - tell Sinclair Bob and Sue showed you around. He will appreciate knowing how you found the place, and we will appreciate you helping us keep our promise that we would share our great time with all our friends. The resort was terrific, and our only regret was not visiting sooner.
