Oldfield Touch and Go

2004 Chestnut Gelding

16 hh

Sam is beautiful, flaxen 16 hand, who is shaping up to be a terrific A circuit hunter/dressage prospect. He and his junior rider safely and competently handled his first show, Old Dominion, placing competively in the classes highlighted below.

His sire, Kennan's Supreme Air, is a very fine Fairfield Fortune son who is the sire of athletic and trainable Hunt, Western, and Dressage champions.

Sam likes jumping and has been complimented as a "very capable horse" by dressage judges even as a novice. He is a serious open competition prospect and will be the one to beat in breed classes in seasons to come.

You may also contact Jackie Moehling at Justawee Sport Morgans in VA. $9000.

Oldfield Winter Wizard

2005 Dark Bay Gelding

14.3 hh

"Wizzy" is an impeccably bred grandson of both Beamington and World Champion Stallion Waseeka's Showtime. Up-headed with a classically beautiful Morgan face, he is deep through the body with a a good shoulder and level top line. He loves to pose and show off, but he is sweet-tempered with a good mind. He is 14.3 as an early three year old and will put on another inch or two before reaching his full height. He is a very fancy Western Pleasure or Classic Pleasure prospect. He moves well as you will see from the video. He was sidelined by a superficial leg injury this spring, but has been worked extensively in lines and will be back in training in the fall for the 2009 season. $6000

Rosie's Magnolia

1999 Chestnut Mare

14.2hh

Nola is daughter of our foundation stallion, Boomer, and a full sister to multiple A-Circuit champion, Oldifled Sailor, and a half-sister on her dam's side to Oldfield Touch and Go, above.

She had three months professional training under harness with Wes Licht before becomng a broodmare for us. After a six year hiatus from driving, she was hitched to the cart this April and went off like she just finished her training yesterday. She went down the gravel drive and through the cornfield without balking, corn stubble slapping at her, and she had worked pretty hard to pull us through those muddy Wisconsin fields.

She is green broken under saddle. The video clip below shows her on the first day she had either a saddle or a rider. As it shows, she works hard to please and has no tricks in her. She has been ridden cross-country and down the road at all three gaits a number of times. She has a lot of substance but she is extremely lazy and does everything in her power to conserve her energy!

We feel she could be competitive in the carriage divisions or Western pleasure because of her substance. Her level of training is suitable for an intermediate driver or rider, or a beginner working with a trainer.

She is a good mother who foals easily, strongly reproduces the sire, and adds size and substance to the stallion's style and type. Now that we have two nice fillies from her, we hope to find her a home where she can reach her full potential.
