Highlands Elementary School

    The Highlands Elementary School is a single school district located on the Jersey Shore. The school is a small community of approximately two hundred fifty students and a staff of forty teachers and support staff. The small size of the school and student to teacher ratio gives the students and teachers a better opportunity  to work together towards the common goals of the Highlands Elementary School mission statement.

Mission Statement

    The mission of the Highlands Elementary School is to provide a safe environment for the study of a challenging and balanced curriculum which enables students to become independent and critical thinkers. Opportunities are provided for students to develop self-esteem, social values, and the motivation needed to continue individual growth while also developing a respect for social differences. The mission requires an active and responsible partnership of students, staff, community, and school board.
