HELPERDOGS.US IS AN ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES ADVOCACY, ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES WHO USE OR WANT TO USE A SERVICE DOG. WE WORK WITH OUR CLIENTS BOTH IN PERSON AND ON LINE.

We are dedicated to assisting People with Disabilities who need and use SERVICE DOGS. We specialize in training services and customized equipment.
-- If you are not disabled but have trouble keeping up with a regular training class we will customize a training program for you and your dog too!
-- HELPERDOGS also has puppy beginner and 'new owner' classes.

The "Original" HOME SCHOOLING COURSES
always filled very quickly. We grew by leaps and bounds!
We had to offer several sections requiring us to create
several groups for each course block. - The "Home
Schooling Course" bar is still active so you can click on it
to see how we began.

you will see the "Short Courses" we offered.

Our new program works this way:
We use the same modules we found to be so
successful in our "Original" Home Schooling Course.
We schedule 1 to 2 sessions a week either on the
phone or on line via real time chat. We
communicate daily via email. Our phone number
is available for emergencies. Each client's
program is developed to meet their individual
needs to train and develop a successful Service Dog
In Training.

With time the animal will become a working Service
Dog meeting the ADA definition. Information
incorporated in each client's program includes
subjects such as:
A. Training
B.   Public access skills for both dog and person
C.   Special veterinary care required by Service Dogs
D. Developing tasks the Service Dog In Training will learn
         to mitigate his/her owner's disabilities
E.   How to find and understand the Federal and State laws pertaining to
        Disabled People and their Service Dogs
