NEW ITEMS FOR PURCHASE:
1 -- "TEN QUIZZES REGARDING THE ADA & HOSPITAL SERVICE ANIMAL POLICIES"
Since it is so important for hospital employees to understand both their own hospital's Service Animal Policy and the information in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) we developed a booklet of basic information as well as QUIZZES with which they can test their own knowledge. This booklet of QUIZZES contains ten QUIZZES each having ten questions the answers to which are found in every hospital's Service Animal Policy and Title III of the ADA. The Department of Justice (DOJ) enforces the ADA since it is a federal law and must be complied with no matter which state a hospital is in.
This booklet has several uses. It can be used by the employees themselves to stay up to date regarding DOJ interpretations of the ADA as well as the information found in the ADA itself. It can be used by a hospital to be a part of an educational program ensuring that all employees are knowledgeable about their Service Animal Policy and the ADA. It can be used by a hospital administration as an exam tool ensuring their employees have taken the responsibility of knowing how to deal with disabled people and their Service Animals. It can also be used by disabled people who use Service Animals to know what they should expect when entering a hospital as a patient or visiting a patient. COST: $5.00 PLUS POSTAGE
2 -- "BASIC INFORMATION FOR HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES - A Booklet Explaining A Hospital's Service Animal Policy and the Americans With Disabilities Act"
An educational pamphlet is available for hospital employees and people with disabilities who use Service Dogs. It is based on the facts found in the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), its history and what it includes to protect the rights of disabled Americans. The information in this pamphlet is about Title III (there are five Titles in the ADA). It is concerned with access and service regulations for disabled people who use a Service Animal. The Department of Justice (DOJ) enforces this law because it is a federal law. Places of public accommodations including hospitals, must follow these regulations because they trump every state's law. COST: $10.00 PLUS POSTAGE
3 -- "MODEL HOSPITAL SERVICE ANIMAL POLICY"
This booklet is a model for hospitals to use when writing their own Service Animal Policy. It is an outline containing information from the ADA making it compliant with the requirements of the DOJ. When a hospital uses this information to write their own policy it will satisfy its own specific needs, will be easily understood by hospital employees, and compliant with the current laws. The language used is plain everyday American English making it easily understood by whoever reads it. It covers what a hospital and its employees need to know in order to interact with disabled people who depend on their Service Animals. Words and concepts explaining “direct threats”, “reasonable accomadations”, “access and service denial”, and “mitigating a disability” “ are discussed to explain why they must be included in every policy. COST $10.00 PLUS POSTAGE
