DJ was sent by his owner to HELPERDOGS when he was 6 1/2 months old.  His goal is to be the best wheelchair assistance dog.  In order to help his owner, DJ needs to learn basic manners, obedience, patience, public access skills, and many "tasks" to help his person.  DJ can learn the skills.  DJ's challenge is to prove he can deal with the stresses involved in being a working Service Dog every day of his life and be totally safe for his owner.  It will take a year or more to find out.
