"Here Me Are!"
The Foundation's Name
When Jeanie was very young, she would walk into her parents bedroom, early each morning,
rubbing her eye, with blanket in hand, and would declare with excitement "Here Me Are!".
As young children, we are usually ready for the day, ready for our next adventure, and
open to possibilities. As time goes by, we "outgrow" this powerfully innoncent and
willing declaration that "I have showed up for my life".
We are not typically taught how to be ourselves. We are taught how to first fit into our
families and then how to fit into our neighborhoods and then our schools. We learn the "rules"
by what we are told and what we experience. The important people in our lives mold us. We make
decisions that we will carry with us for the rest of our life based on our experiences with
these key people.
Eventually, through conditioning, we begin to loose our vulnerablity to be real.
We learn how to fit in, what is expected, what we ought to do and how
we should do it, and, it better look a certain way, etc. etc. etc. We begin to settle for
security versus paying attention to that voice inside of us that is screaming for us
to be best we can be and to follow our heart.
"Here Me Are" serves as a reminder for us to listen to ourselves, to show up in the present
and to be who we truly are, while not forgetting the child within.
Every time someone says our name, "Here Me Are", they are touching that part of
themselves that seeks to remember. Our name declares that we desire to show up
and to live our life to the best of our ability. To Truly Live Our Life!
It is our goal, that every time someone says or thinks our name, "Here Me Are",
a smile comes to their heart and that they will naturally know
that they make a difference.
