The Advocates for Herring Bay (AHB) work together to preserve and enhance the environmental health of Herring Bay, a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. We serve as stewards of our ecological resources by monitoring water quality, documenting the wealth of biotic species in the area, and restoring native plants in waters and areas overtaken by invasive species. We are a voice for Herring Bay, advocating policies that will enhance the long-term health of this unique but fragile resource.
AHB was founded in 2005 by individuals from Fairhaven, a community in southern Anne Arundel County, Maryland. AHB is a nonpartisan organization and does not endorse candidates for political office. We welcome you to join us in our mission. Please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
