Ezra Sherman passed away February 5, 2009, six days after he was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. 10-year-old Ezra and his family are puppy raisers with Guide Puppies of Seattle. In memory of Ezra, a Pink Dogwood tree (pictured above) was donated by Seattle area puppy raisers and planted on the Guide Dog Campus in Oregon.

17 year old puppy raiser, Sam Bridgman, was diagnosed in August 2006 with Friedreich’s Ataxia, a rare genetic, neurodegenerative, multi-system, life-shortening disorder which afflicts about 1 in 50,000 people. To make a donation to help fund Friedreich's Ataxia research, click here.
