The department of Cardiovascular Perfusion at Hartford Hospital remains committed in providing the highest standards of care in the management of the surgical patients requiring cardiopulmonary bypass, putting the latest technology and clinical theory into practice. Our team of eight highly skilled perfusionists supports the cardiac surgery program and the liver transplantation program, mechanical circulatory support, cell salvage for trauma and platelet gel sequestration for orthopedic surgery.

Some of our duties include:

Cardiopulmonary bypass for cardiac procedures

Mechanical Circulatory support - Abiomed, Haertmate VE, IABP etc.,

Platelet Gel Sequestration

Cell Salvage
