Mary Elizabeth WINTERS [Parents] was born 15 Jan 1845 in Plattsburgh, New York. She died 30 Sep 1923 in Sonoma, CA and was buried in Bennett Valley Cemetery, Sonoma, CA. Mary married Dr. Benjamin Franklin Darling WARREN on 13 Sep 1861.

Her obituary appeared in the Press Democrat on Oct. 2, 1923. It states that she was living in Bennett Valley (just outside of Santa Rosa) and died at Mary Jesse Hospital after a short illness. She was 78 years old. She came to California in 1909 and is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Mattie Franklin of Santa Rosa.

Sonoma, CA death certificate # 23-042129 gives birth and death dates, age at death is 78 years-7 months-15 days, mother's maiden name is Recau, burial site is Bennett Valley Cemetery, undertaker is C. & F. Welti. She lived in CA for 14 years. Info supplied by daughter Mattie Franklin living in Santa Rosa, CA.
