Jemima CHAPMAN [Parents] was born 1 12 Jul 1825 in Liberty Co., Ga. She died 1 Sep 1908 in Liberty Co., Ga and was buried in Jones Creek. Jemima married Daniel Fraser SULLIVAN Jr. on 8 May 1844.

Jemima Chapman married Daniel Francis (also known as Fraser) Sullivan on May 8, 1844. D.F. Sullivan was born on October 14, 1822, son of Daniel F. and Anna Sullivan. They resided on a large plantation, now known as Sullivan Place, between Hampton and Washington Parker about ten miles north of Ludowici.

When Daniel died on November 8, 1898 and Jemima on September 1, 1908, the Jones Creek Baptist church memorialized both. The committee that prepared the memorial for Jemima wrote: "We feel that it would be correct to say that a more dutiful wife and mother could not be found in the community. To know her and to be her friend meant a great deal to those with whom she mingled. She was kind, sympathetic, and ever ready to respond to the comfort of the sick and suffering. Often in conversation with her friends and relatives she would call attention to their Christian duties.  We desire to note the fact that her mother, Mrs. Mary Leigh Chapman, was one of the twenty-four faithful Christians who set in motion a great and noble institution for God, that of constituting the church at Jones Creek in the year 1810. Doubtless this influence for good will pass on from generation to generation as a blessing from the Great Head of the Church."
