Horace Bradford THOMPSON [Parents] "Brad" was born 25 Oct 1935 in Wayne Co. Georgia. He died 29 Jun 1958 in Drowned in Broward Creek, Jacksonville Florida and was buried in Old Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Wayne Co., Georgia. Brad married Living LIVING.
Brad and several family members went to Broward River to go swimming and for a picnic. Several hours had gone by and Brad did not realize the tide had gone out and the water was low. He jump off a cliff head first and broke his neck. He came up and then disappeared in the black water. The river was searched from around noon until his body was finally recovered around 11 PM that night. The broken neck did not kill him, he drown clinging to reeds when the tide came back in.
