Note: He was constable of Durham in 1740. He was in Nottingham by 1757 and there as late as 1765. He received his father's homestead by his will which included the old garrison-house at Oyster River.

Thomas HUCKINS [Parents] was born about 1710 in Oyster River, Dover, NH. He died before 1803 in Durham, Strafford, New Hampshire. Thomas married Mary FRENCH on 25 Dec 1733.

Note: He was of Durham 1732 and Lee 1767. He became indigent toward the end of his life and died between 1799 & 1803, his widow also dying in the latter year. In 1734, he had from his brother Robert a small lot adjoining the ancestral garrison-hous e on the North. In a petition of 1753/4, he states that he is one of those who "endured the brunt and hardships of the late war". (King George's War 1744-1748). He is perhaps the man who was in Emerson's Company at Seavey's Island in the fal l of 1775.
